Our History

Nestled in the heart of Holmes County, Ohio, P&L Builders was born out of a desire to build and provide a quality home for the people of our community and surrounding areas! Simple hard work, honesty, and attention to detail are what we have always relied on and ultimately what our company is built on. In 1993, we started out as a new home builder, building custom homes across Northeast Ohio. However, as time went on, we saw a huge need for a construction company to dedicate all their efforts to remodeling. Beginning in 2010, we changed course slightly and started actively seeking clients who "like their home", "love where they live," but need someone to help them recreate the home they live in! From planning and design to demo and construction, it is the goal of everyone at P&L Builders to make your remodeling project an exciting and positive experience!

Client Quotes

"When I come home I think I am in someone else's house. Thank you for the nice job you did on our remodel. The grandchildren are already breaking it in." - Linda

"Mr. Yoder, in our old home, we have needed workers for one reason or another for almost fifty years. The two young men who replaced our windows from your company are two of the nicest we have ever experienced! Not only is their work above reproach, they could not have been nicer, and we truly appreciate that." - Bonnie

"Gene & I wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the work that was done on our kitchen. We appreciated that it was started and finished on time and that everything flowed from beginning to end. It looks beautiful and we will enjoy it for many years to come." - Kathy & Gene

"We spoke to nine builders that we chose from a list of potentials that we had decided would build a quality home. We desired quality construction over square footage. Paul Yoder, owner of P&L, was one of the few builders that listened to our wants and needs. He was very prompt with his proposal, and it mirrored our specifications down to the last detail. He spelled out all of the costs for any additions to the original plan. Everything that I asked them to do, they did quickly and perfectly. I was at the site at least once a week to check on progress and never saw any places where they took a shortcut that sacrificed the quality or integrity of the house. WE RECOMMEND P&L AND WOULD HAVE THEM BUILD OUR NEXT HOME." - Mike (Canton, Ohio)

"Thank you all and especially Steve and Firman for the work you have done for us this year on our window assembly and trim. We are pleased that Keim Lumber recommended you to install the mulled picture window and led us to hire you for our trim replacement." - Jerry & Nancy

"Once again, I want to personally thank you for all you and your employees have done for Sharon & I. You have done another beautiful job & are turning our home into a showcase. I have to add, how blessed you are to have John & Leroy working for you. Of course, how proud you must be to have a son working with you. Thanks again for your assistance & friendship." - Bob

"I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I love how our home looks & how this whole process was from begining to end. Instead of horror stories to tell of contractors I have nothing but praises. We loved everyone & will miss you all! Thanks again!" - Ray & Kris
